South Africa has so many world-class musical artists and groups that often don’t get the recognition they deserve. The Noteworthy initiative was started in 2017 to showcase and promote South African musical artists and groups, and the venues that host them.
Each week a local musical artist, group or venue is featured on the Noteworthy Facebook and Instagram pages. The whole page is dedicated to them for that week. Short snippets of interesting info is posted throughout the week. The artist/group also gets an opportunity to do a live streamed performance (Noteworthy Live) via these platforms on one of the days.
