Future Radio recently released their debut album Freedom after much anticipation created by the release of their singles before the full release. The album release was accompanied by an online launch event that introduced their brand of guitar-driven rock songs against the backdrop of the multitude of visual elements. We got a taste of these in the single music videos.
Freedom is a concept album with each track telling a piece of the overall story. It explores the idea of breaking free from oppressive institutions and ideals such as political institutions. 50% of the album consists of songs while the other 50% consists of interlude clips that tell you a bit more of the album.
It might have been better for the album though if there were fewer of these interludes as they tend to interrupt the flow of the album. Overall, the songs are catchy and we’re looking forward to what the future of Future Radio has to offer.
