“Tiptoe” is a collaborative single that was released by South African singer-songwriter Jodie Reid and US-based William Thacker (from alternative rock project Drawing on Scars).
According to Jodie, the song “explores the brutal, cruel and sometimes illogical inner struggles experienced while those that support us are seemingly sleeping”.
The initial song structure and lyrics were conceptualised by Jodie, while William was responsible for the instrumentation, arrangement, and production.
The duo have been collaborating and releasing songs since 2020, which include “Dreaming”, “Take It” and “Here Comes Some More”.
