The Dan Homesy band just released their latest single “Siya” in honour of Springboks rugby captain Siya Kolisi.
The song tells the story of how Siya overcame adversity in his youth to become an inspiration to South Africans. Danie Scherman (aka Dan Homesy) adds that “the song reminds us to believe in ourselves, to never give up, and to know that we’re stronger together”.
An acoustic version of “Siya” was released in 2019 during the previous Rugby World Cup and the song has gone through a few iterations up to now. It is just in time for the current Rugby World Cup and will have Springboks fans singing along to this anthem in support of their favourite team.
